Mount Charles Catering wins one of Ireland's Best Managed Companies Awards.
Mount Charles Catering Ltd announced as one of Ireland’s 20 Best Managed Companies!
Mount Charles Catering Ltd has been named as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme. In excess of 200 companies were invited to submit an initial application, subsequent to which twenty companies which demonstrated superior business performance were recognised at a gala awards dinner in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin on 4th March 2011. Mount Charles was one of four Northern Ireland companies to receive the award. In a new element to this year’s programme Mount Charles was also selected as one of three companies commended for high quality submissions.
The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, in association with Irish Life Corporate Business, recognises indigenous Irish companies across the island of Ireland operating at the highest levels of business performance.
The independent judging panel, chaired by Denis Brosnan, reviewed a broad range of criteria including strategy, capability, commitment, financials and growth potential across all key functions of the business. This year, the judging panel also focussed on how companies were planning growth in their organisations in a sustainable way.

Mount Charles is delighted to have secured this award which places them firmly at the top of the best managed companies in Ireland. This award recognises the hard work of not only the senior management team within the organisation but also the invaluable contribution of each and every one of its employees. Providing employment for almost 1,000 people across Northern Ireland, Mount Charles deliver catering, vending and cleaning services to Business and Industry, Education and Healthcare sectors and also a thriving Retail Division. Substantial investment in recent years in developing resources in training, IT, systems and procedures have been largely contributory to the achievement of our ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 Accreditations, but the icing on the cake has been receiving the accolade as a Deloitte Best Managed Company.
