Cafe Laurent Forestside re-opens following major refurbishment
Cafe Laurent re-opens by giving back to the community it serves
Following a complete refurbishment, Cafe Laurent at Forestside has marked it's re-opening by hosting a charity coffee day to raise funds for the Mitchell House School for children with physical disabilities.
The charitable gesture was directly aimed at helping those within the local community it has been serving for the last 10 years at Forestside with special recognition of the Lawson family who are amongst Cafe Laurent's most loyal customers.
Thanks to generous support of Johnson's Coffee, who kindly provided tea and coffee to all customers on the day of the re-opening in return for donations, a sum of over £500 was raised for Mitchell House School.
Trevor Annon, Managing Director, Mount Charles, owners of Cafe Laurent, explained the nature of the recent re-opening was particularly special;
"Having invested significantly to transform the Cafe we decided it would be appropriate to mark the reopening of Cafe Laurent by hosting an event which would allow us to say thank-you to the customers who have supported us during the past ten years.
There is definitely a fantastic new look to Cafe Laurent, focusing on more comfortable surroundings, lounge seating and a new fast track coffee lounge on the first floor. Our menus have been refreshed to reflect chaning trends and we know our new freshly made to order sandwich bar will be a hugh success"
